Aruba is a small Caribbean island located north of Venezuela. It is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, but it has its own autonomy.
It is famous for its white sand beaches like Eagle Beach, its crystal-clear waters, and its dry and sunny climate almost all year round.
The capital is Oranjestad, known for its colorful Dutch colonial-style buildings. Tourism is the island’s main economic activity.
Its official language is Dutch, but Papiamento and Spanish are also spoken.
I love going for walks on its beaches where the waves are wild, climbing the rocks, going fishing, traveling from north to south across the island and learning about its history, taking boat rides to discover its marine wildlife, seeing wild goats in the rocky mountains, horseback riding along the beaches, birdwatching and photographing birds. Staying in its comfortable houses and enjoying the pool.
